In Liguria in north west Italy, the owner of commercial printer Ligurgaf, Alessandro Dario, says: “This was a straightforward decision. The combination of high image quality plus the versatility the fifth station brings means we can enhance our offerings and reputation.”

The Ricoh Pro C7100 series was launched in December 2014. Among the features that have encouraged such quick and broad market adoption are the fifth colour station, long sheet printing up to 700mm and productivity that enables print speeds of up to 90ppm.

Benoit Chatelard, Vice President, Production Printing, Ricoh Europe, adds: “The Pro C7100 series is unique. No other press in this part of the market combines the fifth colour station and long sheet printing.  The series allows Print Service Providers to affordably differentiate with both value added creative designs and a broader range of application choices from poster work and six page A4 brochures to book covers. The Ricoh Pro C7100 series also enables them to develop stronger relationships with their clients by offering new and exciting applications that can deliver tremendous impact, and great results for them.

He continues: “The fact that seven out of every ten Pro C7100 models purchased in Europe have been fifth station versions demonstrates that creative and progressive PSPs are seizing this affordable opportunity to expand their capabilities and services.”

Fast drying times, the ability to print metallic colours in conjunction with ColorLogic software, and extended media options all give PSPs valuable benefits.

Another key attraction for PSPs is Ricoh’s sustained commitment to research and development. An example is neon yellow toner which extends still further the creative potential of the Ricoh Pro C7100 series.
