The New WJ Office

For the past 4-5 months, with the guidance of Josh Thurman from Wildwood Media Group in Boone, WJ went through the long process of examining our brand and what image we had in the marketplace.  It had been a long time since we looked long and hard at how we were seen by our long time customers, most recent partners, and the community in general.  After going through a grueling brand audit process, we determined it was time to update our brand.  Our website was out of date, our logo and collateral materials didn't reflect our values as a company and it was time to make a change.

We started considering who we were as a company and who we wanted to be.  For 34 years, WJ's strengths have been in developing solid long-lasting professional relationships with its fellow small and independent businesses in western NC.  We did that through assigning account representatives to each account and helping provide solutions to problems and efficient ways of supplying offices with office products, office machines, janitorial and office furniture.  We decided to change our brand to represent that core value.

The first step was deciding on a new logo as a face to the world.  As our area of NC starts to look into new and innovative ways of being environmentally conscious, we thought it was important to relay that message about WJ as well with our new color scheme.  After all, WJ has worked hard to be a Green company and we are proud to have found suppliers to help us supply our Green customers with the products they need.

We wanted something simple and iconic.  Something that people would recognize without any words attached.  We wanted to be able to use the "WJ" as a stand alone logo.  The first logo and brand design we saw from Josh hit the nail on the head.  We fell in love the minute we saw it.  Over the 3 months that followed, we rolled the brand out to the WJ employees and started ordering our collateral materials like business cards and drivers' uniforms in preparation for our Customer Appreciation Day on November 4th that also served as our Brand Roll-Out Party.  Thank you to all that came to celebrate with us.

This is the new WJ Office.  Our ownership is the same, our values are the same, our mission is the same.  Our look is new.

Thank you for being a valued client of WJ and supporting local, independent businesses.
